More than 16,000 images were submitted by people during 6 week campaign. Facebook fan pages gained more than 1 million new fans. The best pictures were shown live in online galleries and on billboards. The best photo won a brand new Ford Fiesta as prize. This campaign became successful by demographic targeting in the Instagram community.
Burberry Group public company is a British luxury fashion house that deals in fashion accessories, fragrances, sunglasses and cosmetics. This company was founded in 1856 in England by Thomas Burberry, who first designed the trench coat. Burberry has 1,957,637 followers on its Instagram profile.
British Fashion House Burberry wanted to launch its next fragrance with Instagram, as it has already known about Instagram’s importance for fashion brands. Burberry gave faces to their two fragrances – British models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne.
To make this campaign successful, Burberry used candid moments, behind the scenes, and interactive moments of the two ladies which are not often seen in magazines. One image of Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne was liked approximately 35.2K times.
Free People is an American bohemian-based apparel and lifestyle retail company. Free People sells women’s clothing, shoes, music, art and other accessories. 1,501,972 followers are following free people.
Free people used Instagram as a central feature of their website. It used Instagram applications to encourage their customers to post their pictures on Free People fashion with specific hashtags. Some of the photos were added to the Free People official website.
This campaign allowed customers to see how the products look in real life. Customers can like, comment on, and create a conversation about the looks that Free People’s fans created.
Nike was founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports. It is an American multinational corporation that is known for the design and manufacturing of apparel, foot-wear, equipment, accessories and services. Nike also markets its product worldwide. Nike has more than 6 million followers on Instagram.
Nike is one of the most popular brand on Instagram. Nike understand the power and psychology of Instagram and created an official account and child accounts like @nikerunning, @nikewomen and @nikefootball that show the right pictures to the right audiences.
The most successful Nike campaign is PHOTOiD, which was used to promote customizable shoes that give customers the opportunity to design Nike shoes online for themselves.
Warby Parker is an American Brand of Sunglasses and eyeglasses that was founded in 2010 and is situated in United States. It has built a loyal following among the people who arrange and love good designs. It has 132,992 ecstatic fans on Instagram.
Warby parker adds unexpected subjects and thoughtful composition in pictures. Taglines of Warby Parker includes a call to action that states, “Warby Parker Prescription eyewear and sunglasses starting at $95. For every pair sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need”.

Nylon gives an inside look of the latest trends, behind the scenes pictures of photo-shoots for its followers, and photos of some editors’ favorite items that are for sale on Nylon’s website.

Southwest Airlines used Instagram to take its followers on a virtual photo walk that explored their 920,000 square-foot headquarters in Texas. They started the tour with building’s lobby, then continued through the hallways, cafeteria, Employee University, corporate culture centers, dispatch center, and maintenance hangar.

They shoot the first 15 seconds within short time span after an announcement and upload it to multiple locations. All of its videos are telling its brand’s story. With Instagram, Lululemon received 5785 likes per images, and likes were more than doubled for its video.
Strght was founded by Gabe Willis Strght. It is a skateboard company that makes classic and vintage hand carved shaped skates and focuses on modern innovation. It has 43,817 followers on Instagram.
Gabe Willis merged his drawing inspiration and his printing knowledge and started working, and he documented that on Instagram. As people watched him creating unique skate boards, they became interested in buying as well. Gabe started his servicing directly through Instagram.
Gabe expended his business with four full time employees after seven months and started selling in stores and online through web retailers. To make his business more successful, he asked to his customers to add their photos on its Instagram account.
